Ooma VoIP Review

!±8± Ooma VoIP Review

I have used Ooma for about one year now. Their sound quality is not as crystal clear as compared to my old telephone company, but it is still highly acceptable for the great amount of money I am saving on my phone bill. Read more and find out what Ooma has to offer and is it right for you.

Ooma Telo system retails for about 0.00. With the purchase of the Ooma Telo system you get the following features: 5000 minutes of outgoing calls within the United States, all incoming are free. International calls are charged by minutes according to Ooma's international rates. Ooma also includes caller ID, call waiting and voice mail. For all those features you only pay around .50 for taxes and fees each month, and no additional charges for your phone bill unless you would want to add other features. You can also transfer your existing telephone number to Ooma for a one time fee of .99. If you would like more calling features you can join Ooma Premier. With the purchase of Ooma and after activating your service for the first time, they offers a free trial of Ooma Premier for 60 days. After the trial is over, and you wish to continue the premier features, it cost .00 per month or 0.00 yearly. When you sign up for the whole year you get free phone number transferring (.99 value).

Ooma VoIP has great service and I would say it offers a great bargain as well. There are exceptions though. If you make a lot of international calls, I do not think Ooma is right for you. Ooma advertise as low international rates, but from reviews I heard their international rates are kind of expensive. If you do make a lot of internationals calls, you might want to consider Vonage instead. I'm not sure myself since I do not make any international calls, but that is something you should consider if you do.

Ooma advertise their service as unlimited calling. Well that is not true, but I would not consider it as a scam. Ooma offers 5000 minutes per month calling within the United States, that should be more than enough for an average user. So if you call less than 5000 minutes per month within the United States, and do not make any international calls, you should put Ooma into consideration.
